Ice Cube made his acting debut in 1991 in the film Boyz n the Hood. His performance impressed many, and it was a success. For the next few years, he appeared in various films, including Friday, Are We There Yet?, and a TBS comedy series.
Ice Cube is an actor, producer, and clothing line owner. He has appeared in television commercials for Coors Light beer, St. Ides malt liquor, and a few other products. He also launched his own clothing line, Solo by Cube, which sells hoodies with built-in headphones. Since 2011, he has been the brand’s spokesperson.
On January 11, 2017, Ice Cube announced a new project, a 3-on-3 basketball league called Big3. The league has a broadcast deal with CBS and is made up of former NBA greats.
Although he’s a well-known figure in the music industry, Ice Cube has a long list of other accomplishments. He was born in South Central Los Angeles, and is the son of Doris Jackson, a hospital clerk, and Hosea Jackson, a groundskeeper.
Before he acted, Ice Cube studied architectural drafting. He was enrolled at the Phoenix Institute of Technology in Arizona in 1987. That same year, he married Kimberly Woodruff.
After a hiatus from music, Ice Cube returned to the music scene in the early 2000s. During this period, he formed the Westside Connection with Mack 10 and WC. He released two albums with the group.
After a few more studio albums, the rap star took a six-year break before releasing a new album. This came as a surprise to fans. During his break, Ice Cube appeared in advertisements for Coors Light beer.
